Coverity announced today that it has acquired Boulder based Solidware Technologies. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Solidware was actually the first company that my angel fund (Colorado Startups) invested in back in 2006. I met Sue Kunz after the famous “firecracker remark” (that one really stuck with Sue) and quickly wrote a post describing the tools. I remember thinking “As a development manager, I’d use this.”
Chatting with Sue this morning, she said “Although we didn’t expect to exit this quickly, Char and I are both bullish on where Coverity can take Solidware. Coverity’s a good company with great people who share our vision. Now having completed the transaction, sleep is on the top of our list.”
