@Last Software, maker of the popular Sketchup drawing tool (and Google Earth plugin), has just been acquired by Google. Here are some details.
My office is just a short stoll down Pearl Street, and I know several of the newly minted googlers from previous startups. So, I decided to take a little walk to Google’s newest Boulder office. Some of the employees were outside busily handing out T-shirts and spreading the news to the local media.
One employee that I spoke with told me about Google’s orientation session and great perks and benefits, and said s/he was extremely impressed thus far. Another new googler let me know that the boxes of bean bag chairs and lava lamps were already arriving from California.
